Terms of Service

Terms for using the MergeRamp website and service.

About these terms

These Terms of Service cover your use of MergeRamp, including the mergeramp.com website, its guides and interactive demo, and the MergeRamp service. “MergeRamp”, “we”, and “us” refer to the operator of MergeRamp. Please read these terms before using MergeRamp.

Contact: info@mergeramp.com.

Using MergeRamp

You may use MergeRamp to evaluate MergeRamp, read the guides, and try the demo. Use it lawfully and respect the rights of others.

Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, disrupt MergeRamp, overload its infrastructure, or use it to facilitate fraud or other unlawful activity.

Accounts and plans

Some features require an account and installing the MergeRamp GitHub App. You are responsible for your account and the activity under it, and you confirm that you are authorised to connect the GitHub organizations and repositories you add. Plans, prices, usage limits, and eligibility, including which plans are available for your organization’s size, are described on our pricing page.

Trials, billing, and renewals

Paid plans may start with a free trial. When a trial ends, you can choose to subscribe. We will not charge you unless you do.

Subscriptions are billed in advance through our payment provider, Stripe, and renew automatically for the same period until cancelled. Prices exclude any applicable taxes. If a payment fails, we may pause paid features until it is resolved. We will give at least 30 days’ notice of any price change to an existing subscription, and the new price applies from your next renewal.

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel at any time through your billing settings or by emailing info@mergeramp.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep access until then. Fees already paid are non-refundable, except where required by law.

Your data

You keep all rights to your code and repository data. We access and process it only as needed to provide MergeRamp, and we do not sell it or use it for any other purpose. If your account is closed, we delete its data within a reasonable period, unless we need to keep some of it to meet legal obligations.

Customer logos

We may name your organization and display its logo as a MergeRamp customer, for example on our website. If you would prefer we did not, email info@mergeramp.com and we will remove it promptly.

Content and ownership

MergeRamp branding, design, and original content are owned by the operator. You may read, link to, and share links to the website. Other use of protected material requires permission unless an applicable licence or law permits it.

Third-party names, logos, software, and content remain subject to their owners’ rights and licences. These terms do not override any open-source licence that applies to software made available separately.

Guides and third-party services

Guides and comparisons provide general product information. Vendor features, prices, and terms can change; verify them with the relevant provider before relying on them. Examples are not a guarantee of suitability for your repositories or workflow.

Links to GitHub and other third-party websites are provided for reference. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies. MergeRamp is an independent product; references to another provider do not imply its endorsement.

Availability and changes

We work to keep MergeRamp available and reliable, monitor it, and fix issues promptly. Like any online service, it may occasionally be unavailable during maintenance or updates, or because of events outside our control, such as outages at GitHub or our hosting providers. Where we can, we will give advance notice of planned maintenance.

We improve MergeRamp continually, so features may change over time.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or puts MergeRamp or its users at risk. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why first. You can stop using MergeRamp at any time by cancelling your subscription and uninstalling the GitHub App.

Responsibility and liability

MergeRamp and the demo are provided for evaluation. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we make no warranty that they will meet your particular requirements. You are responsible for evaluating information before relying on it and for decisions concerning your own software and repositories.

If you use MergeRamp in the course of a business, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity. Our total liability to you is limited to the greater of £100 and the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Nothing removes any mandatory consumer rights you may have.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how MergeRamp handles personal information, including website analytics and cookies. Using MergeRamp does not itself constitute consent to optional tracking.

Applicable law and questions

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings where you live. Questions: info@mergeramp.com.

Updates to these terms

We may revise these terms as MergeRamp develops and update the date above. Material changes will be highlighted where required. Any future account, repository integration, or paid service will be subject to the terms presented for that service.

Read our Privacy Policy.
